A Brand Case Study: The Advocates
When I joined The Advocates as Content Producer, there was no in-house video production, no established creative workflow, no production equipment, no paid social strategy, and no cohesive visual identity. Building a creative department from the ground up while supporting a fast-moving business was both a challenge and an opportunity.
Over the last year, I’ve developed the law firm’s in-house production capabilities— budgeting a Sony FX30 kit, creating graphics templates, leading Meta advertising campaigns, growing social audiences, and managing cross-department creative initiatives. I’ve helped unify the brand across digital and print through photography, marketing materials, business cards, and other visual brand standards.
By combining my creative expertise and passion for storytelling with my leadership, strategy, and project management skills, I’ve built a scalable creative operation from the ground up. Here’s how I did it.
Brand Storytelling
-
The Advocates are a Personal Injury Firm serving Washington, Oregon, and California. Prior to joining the team, their social presence was largely trial and error with passing trends. They hadn’t tapped into sharing their unique value as a brand: legal expertise, locality, and excellent results in their field. Just ask one of the dozens of attorneys about their favorite case, and they’ll rattle off about a time they went above and beyond for a client. These stories are interesting— trials leading to multi-million verdicts, investigations involving multiple witnesses, and life altering injuries healed with the right care. Their legal expertise is what they share with the world. And it’s worth sharing.

To bring stories like these to life, I first proposed a Sony FX30 kit that has expanded to: camera body, camera lens, wireless mics, shotgun mic, ND filters, lights, tri-pods, teleprompters, SD cards, and more. I worked with them to think about their needs today and in the future, the proper budget, and what could grow with them as their investment in social media and production continues.

After shooting and editing this video, I set up a Meta Ad campaign to prioritize follower growth and page visits across our series of Memorable Case Stories. This video alone reached 50.9K people on Instagram, received 550+ likes, and led to 300+ followers.
